Built byContractors.

We got into this business because we'd been on the other side of it — waiting around, getting the runaround, paying too much. Mud Dawgs is the dump site we wished existed.

Our Story

The Idea Was Simple.
So Is the Business.

If you run a hydrovac crew in Colorado Springs, you know the drill: finish the job, then spend half your afternoon figuring out where to dump the spoils. Drive across town. Wait in line. Pay whatever they feel like charging that day. Then do it all again tomorrow.

Mud Dawgs started with a straightforward observation — there wasn't a purpose-built, contractor-friendly dump site in this market that treated hydrovac disposal as a real service rather than an afterthought. So we built one. Then we built a second one to cover the other half of the city.

We set flat rates because contractors deserve to know what something costs before they pull in. We opened trade accounts because your drivers shouldn't need to carry cash or a card on every run. We built an RFID system because your crews work before 7am and after 5pm, and a dump site that closes when the work doesn't isn't actually a solution.

The model is simple: you bring it, we take it. No surprises on the ticket. No waiting on a call back. Just a place to dump your load, a receipt in hand, and back on the road.

Questions.Answered.

Everything you need to know about dumping at Mud Dawgs — pricing, access, accounts, and what we do and don't accept.

💰 Pricing
How much does it cost to dump?
Two prices — that's it. Large vac trucks (500 gallons or more) are $150 per load. Small vac trucks and trailers (less than 500 gallons) are $85 per load. Flat rate regardless of how full the truck is.
Are there any weight charges, fuel surcharges, or hidden fees?
No. Flat rate means flat rate. No weight ticket, no fuel surcharge, no after-hours premium, no disposal fee on top of the dump fee.
How do I know if my truck counts as "large" or "small"?
The cut-off is 500 gallons.

Large ($150): Any vac truck 500 gallons or more — full-size hydrovac trucks and combination vac units.

Small ($85): Any vac truck less than 500 gallons — smaller vac units, trailer-mounted systems, and mini combo trucks.

Not sure? Call us at 719-400-1997 before you make the trip.
Can I pay cash or card on-site?
During staffed hours you can pay on-site. For regular users, a trade account gives your drivers bi-monthly consolidated invoicing — no payment needed at the gate.
✅ What We Accept
What material do you accept?
Both locations: Organic hydrovac spoils — the slurry and soil material generated by hydrovac and vacuum excavation operations.

North location (Sterling Ranch) only: We also accept concrete, asphalt, rock, and fill dirt at the Sterling Ranch site. Call us to confirm availability before making the trip.
What material do you NOT accept?
We do not accept:
  • Hazardous or chemically contaminated material
  • Industrial waste or process byproducts
  • Sewage or sanitary waste
  • Material requiring RCRA special handling
If unsure, call us before making the trip.
Do I need to pre-screen or pre-approve my material?
For standard organic hydrovac spoils from typical excavation work — no pre-approval needed. If your material is from a site with known contamination or environmental monitoring, call us first.
🕐 Hours & Access
What are your staffed hours?
Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM at both the North and South locations.
Can I dump outside of staffed hours?
Yes — trade account holders with RFID windshield tags have gate access 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The unmanned kiosk handles gate access, load logging, and receipt issuance. Open a trade account here.
Are both locations open the same hours?
Yes. Both sites operate the same staffed hours — Mon–Fri, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM — with 24/7 RFID access for trade account holders at both locations.
🔑 RFID System
What's the difference between the windshield tag and the key fob?
Windshield tag: Mounted to your truck's windshield. Opens the gate automatically when you approach — no stopping, no fumbling. This is your 24/7 gate access credential.

Key fob: Used at the unmanned kiosk terminal after you dump. Driver taps the fob, the system logs the load to your account, and a receipt is issued on the spot. These are two separate credentials — the tag gets you in, the fob logs the dump.
How do I get RFID tags and fobs?
RFID credentials are issued at no charge when you open a trade account — one windshield tag and one key fob per registered vehicle. Submit your trade account application with your fleet information and credentials are issued within one business day of approval.
Can tags and fobs be shared between trucks or drivers?
No. Tags and fobs are assigned to specific registered vehicles and are not interchangeable. Each credential is tied to a single truck in your account — swapping tags or fobs between vehicles defeats the tracking system and causes incorrect load logging. Using credentials on unregistered trucks is a violation of account terms and will result in additional fees.
What happens if I lose or damage a tag or fob?
Contact us immediately and we'll deactivate the credential to prevent unauthorized use and issue a replacement promptly. A $5 replacement fee applies to lost or damaged windshield tags and key fobs. Initial credentials issued at account setup are provided at no charge.
Can I get tags for multiple trucks?
Yes. List all vehicles in your fleet on the trade account application. Each truck gets its own windshield tag and key fob at no charge. All loads are consolidated to your account and appear on a single bi-monthly invoice.
Do I get a receipt for every dump?
Yes. Every time your driver taps their key fob at the kiosk after dumping, the system generates a receipt — printed at the kiosk or emailed. Load date, time, location, and truck class are all captured automatically.
📋 Trade Accounts
What are the benefits of a trade account?
  • 24/7 gate access via RFID windshield tags
  • Unmanned kiosk access for after-hours dumping
  • One windshield tag & key fob per registered vehicle — issued free
  • Bi-monthly consolidated invoicing on Net 15 terms
  • Full load history for documentation and job costing

How do I apply for a trade account?
Fill out the online application. It captures company info, billing details, fleet vehicles, credit references, and your RFID request. We review and respond within one business day.
Is there a cost to open a trade account?
No application or setup fee. One windshield tag and one key fob are issued for each registered vehicle at no charge. You pay for dumps at the flat rate only. Replacement credentials for lost or damaged tags and fobs are subject to a $5 fee per item.
How does invoicing work for trade accounts?
All dumps across all trucks and both locations are consolidated into a bi-monthly invoice with a complete load-by-load breakdown. Terms are Net 15. Payment options include ACH, check, and card.

Policies & Terms

All trade account holders are bound by the following policies as a condition of site access. Please read both documents carefully before submitting your application.

RFID Access & Load Logging Compliance Policy
Effective April 2026 — All Trade Account Holders

1. Purpose and Scope

This policy governs the use of RFID windshield tags and key fobs issued to trade account holders by Mud Dawgs LLC for access to and use of our hydrovac organic waste disposal facilities located at 7690 Sterling Ranch Road and 6201 E. Platte Ave., Colorado Springs, CO. This policy applies to all trade account holders, their employees, drivers, contractors, and agents.

2. Credential Issuance and Assignment

Upon account approval, Mud Dawgs issues one windshield tag and one key fob per registered vehicle at no charge. Credentials are vehicle-specific and non-transferable. Use of a credential on any vehicle other than the vehicle to which it is assigned is a policy violation subject to the penalties in Section 4.

3. Mandatory Log-In Requirements

The following requirements apply on every site visit, without exception:

  1. Windshield tag must be affixed to the registered vehicle and functional at every entry.
  2. Driver must tap the assigned key fob at the kiosk terminal after each dump event to record the load and generate a receipt.
  3. The key fob tapped must match the vehicle accessing the site — drivers may not use a key fob assigned to a different truck.
  4. If the kiosk is not operational for any reason, a manual sign-in sheet is located adjacent to the kiosk. Drivers must complete it in full for every visit. Kiosk downtime does not excuse failure to log a visit — there is no excuse for failing to log each visit.
  5. Technical issues with RFID credentials must be reported to the scale house at 719-400-1997 or admin@dawgsofmud.com.

4. Penalty Schedule

Mud Dawgs operates multiple cameras monitoring and recording all areas of both sites on a continuous basis. We review footage regularly and take compliance seriously. The following penalties apply per vehicle per account for each confirmed violation:

Occurrence Disposal Fee Penalty Additional Consequence
First 2× Standard Fee Written notice issued
Second 3× Standard Fee Written notice issued
Third & Subsequent 3× Standard Fee Suspension of all site access privileges

Violations are tracked on a rolling 12-month basis per vehicle. Penalties are invoiced on the next billing cycle. The same penalty schedule applies to drivers who scan a key fob not assigned to the truck accessing the site. Suspension means all vehicles on the account are restricted from site entry until resolved in writing with Mud Dawgs management.

5. Reinstatement After Suspension

To request reinstatement, the account holder must: (a) pay all outstanding penalty invoices in full; (b) submit a written compliance plan signed by an authorized representative; and (c) attend a reinstatement meeting with Mud Dawgs management. Mud Dawgs reserves the right to permanently revoke site access for repeat violations or any attempt to tamper with RFID equipment or surveillance systems.

6. Surveillance Notice

All areas of Mud Dawgs facilities are monitored by IP surveillance cameras recording continuously. Footage is retained and may be used to verify compliance, investigate disputes, and support any legal or regulatory proceeding. By accessing the site, all users consent to this monitoring and recording.

7. Lost or Damaged Credentials

Lost or damaged credentials must be reported immediately. A $5.00 replacement fee per item applies. Unreported lost credentials subsequently used to access the site will be treated as a policy violation under Section 4.

Trade Account Terms & Conditions
Governing Law: State of Colorado — Effective April 2026

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS CAREFULLY. BY SUBMITTING A TRADE ACCOUNT APPLICATION OR ACCESSING MUD DAWGS FACILITIES, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS ON BEHALF OF YOURSELF AND ALL AUTHORIZED USERS.

1. Definitions

4. Prohibition on Hazardous Materials — Absolute Bar

THE DISPOSAL OF PROHIBITED MATERIALS, INCLUDING ANY HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCE, AT ANY MUD DAWGS FACILITY IS STRICTLY AND ABSOLUTELY PROHIBITED.

Customer shall defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Mud Dawgs LLC and its members, managers, officers, employees, agents, successors, and assigns (“Mud Dawgs Indemnitees”) from and against all claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) Customer’s use of the Facilities; (b) any act or omission of Customer or any Authorized User; (c) any breach of these Terms; or (d) personal injury, death, or property damage caused by Customer.

5.2 Environmental Indemnification — Unlimited. This environmental indemnification is unlimited, survives termination of Customer’s account for the maximum period permitted by law, and applies regardless of whether Mud Dawgs personnel inspected or approved the load.

6. Limitation of Mud Dawgs’ Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MUD DAWGS’ AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO CUSTOMER SHALL NOT EXCEED FEES PAID IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. MUD DAWGS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. This limitation does not apply to Customer’s indemnification obligations under Section 5, which are unlimited.

7. Insurance Requirements

Customer shall maintain: (a) commercial general liability insurance of not less than $1,000,000 per occurrence / $2,000,000 aggregate; (b) commercial automobile liability of not less than $1,000,000 combined single limit; and (c) workers’ compensation as required by Colorado law. Customer shall name Mud Dawgs LLC as an additional insured and furnish certificates of insurance upon request.

Any legal action shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts of El Paso County, Colorado. Customer irrevocably consents to personal jurisdiction and waives any objection to venue.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EACH PARTY IRREVOCABLY WAIVES ITS RIGHT TO A TRIAL BY JURY IN ANY ACTION ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS.
